lazarus clamp

Lazarus Clamp launch their 3rd and 4th albums together in on Saturday; Death to technicians! /It Ain’t What You Do, It’s What It Does To You  respectively on bearos records.  They formed in 1994, played SXSW in 2000, toured with Cat Power, Giant Sand, Chris Brokaw, The Mekons, Come, Songs Ohio, Richard Buckner and Laura Cantrell. They effortlessly genre hop from irascible post punk to quirky pop through to pretty alt. folk. Twelve years, 4 bassists, 4 babies, 2 marriages later we find main man Micky from the band in good reflective spirits in this Lazarus Clamp special;

“Lazarus Clamp are one of the minor, undiscovered, rough-cut gems of British independent music!” DIS
