as the Summer that never happened morphs into the Autumn that probably may happen twice, we bring you the September news from Damnably.
WOMPS of Glasgow have been rocking the airwaves thanks to Tom Ravenscroft and Gideon Coe on BBC 6Music.
Their debut 7″ is being pressed this very moment in German Translucent and Black vinyl and is on pre-order at BANDCAMP where you may also peruse WOMPS, AWA and Damnably
The debut EP from Capt.Lovelace aka Beattie Wood, has also garnered a healthy dose of radio play from Tom Ravenscroft on BB6 Music and Brian Mullan on BBC Radio Folye.
The cassettes are shifting here or on iTunes etc.
We are stoked to have the WOMPS Debut AA Single Launch show @ Sebright Arms

Damnably’s NINTH Birthday/World International John Peel day
Oct 10th @ Windmill Brixton
9 Years ago we began with a John Peel Day at the Brixton Windmill as the BBC had quit the annual celebration and pay to play promoters were having a feeding frenzy.
Since then we have put on some great gigs, released some pretty awesome records and booked some surprisingly well routed tours. Now we also are publishers and we’ve had many learning curves and made a lot of friends all over the world and worked with a lot John Peel favourites and we hope championed some bands that he would have enjoyed.
Please join us as we celebrate our Birthday and John Peel with 9 Bands on the main stage & 9 acts on the Acoustic Stage, w/ some cover songs from Peel sessions, Peel favourites and Damnably back catalogue DJ’ed.
