Pika from Osaka, Japan is the drummer from legendary Japanese duo ‘Afrirampo‘ (2002-2010)
who were described by All Tomorrow’s Parties main-man Barry Hogan as having one of the two greatest live shows ever to appear at ATP.

Pika just released her second solo album ‘Ryu No Sumika‘, that picked up 7.0 score in Pitchfork.
Very much part of Japan’s Experimental Rock/Improv scene, PIKA has played as part of Acid Mothers Temple Official The Yoko Ono band, toured with Sonic Youth, Lightening Bolt and killed it at 3 (possibly more) ATP’s.

Live Pika plays both drums and guitar but you’ll never know what she’ll do. Simply one of the most arresting performers in the world today
playing her second London solo show since we put her on back in December 2010.

“The Japanese noise-rock duo’s enchantments and incantations cast such a spell over audiences it’s as though they are practicing sonic witchcraft” Everett true The Guardian
It’s never long,…before Afrirampo are again off and running, joyfully veering to the cusp of feral, white-hot noise, as they drag their songs kicking and screaming towards distant untold possibilities.”7.9 Pitchfork
