Matt Atkins celebrates his 40th birthday by playing drums with 3 of his bands:
Counting Stewart Lee and Stuart Maconie as fans Crumbling Ghost combine English Folk, Sludge Metal, Doom and Krautrock  into an insanely heavy rock-cocktail. They were cover stars of  Prog Magazine and featured in Quietus here. This will be the bands first and last gig of 2013.

Slowgun cascade catchy indie-rock-pop tunes and have gigged with the likes of Shonen Knife, Yuck, Bellini and Wussy.
Signed to  Tim Burgess’s O-Genesis Label, they just released AA single ‘Next Time/Side Kick Me’.

smallgang half-japanese London based trio fronted by two baritone voiced brothers, who just toured the UK with Bored Spies (members of-Seam/Bitch Magnet/OWC) , released ‘No Pain Whatsoever’ EP and are now mixing their second album due out in 2014. Gideon Coe, Bitch Magnet, Shonen Knife and Geoff Farina love these guys and so should you!

Chris Brokaw has been on tour in Europe and has 2 shows remaining:

Oct 31 Groningen Museum in Groningen, Holland, and will also record a short piece of music to ‘accompany’ a painting there by Alfred Sisley.

Nov 1  at Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, Holland, in an evening dedicated specifically to LIGHT in Van Gogh’s work.

Shonen Knife celebrated their 900 gig in Japan earlier this year and returned to Europe for a 21 date tour covering a lot of new territory and Festivals. Highlights where playing to 1800 people at the Sold Out Ayacon and an explosive closing of Tilburg’s Incubate Festival.
Original member Atsuko and sister of Naoko joined them on tour and performed ‘Goose Step Mama’ at our ‘Fan’s Vote the Set Show’ London Dingwalls show.

Former Utopia  played their 100th Gig at the Shonen Knife ‘BBQ Party’ at the Brixton Windmill and made an appearance at Incubate Festival in Tilburg picking up a couple good reviews here and here .

And yes, we also have Joel R L Phelps & The Downer Trio‘s release ‘Gala’, their first release for almost a decade, coming up on 4th November. Joel was a founding member of the legendary US band ‘Silkworm’ and went on to release 5 fantastic albums with the downer trio. Featuring 11 all new tracks, and two bonus tracks on our European version.

12XU releases ‘Gala’ in the US on Vinyl and Triple Crown Recordings releases in Canada!
